From the first of January 2024, the tasks of Eurofins' Food and Feed Testing Business Unit will be performed uniformly by two laboratories with a long history: the Budapest-based Eurofins Food and Feed Testing Budapest (the legal successor of Eurofins Analytical Services Hungary's Food Safety Business Unit) and Eurofins Food and Feed Testing Gyula (legal successor of Eurofins Food Analytica Kft.)

The two laboratories form a joint business unit, headed by Dr. Csaba Ábrahám. Thanks to the joint business unit management, we can serve our esteemed partners in the usual quality, but with even more services and even greater capacity.

Physical and chemical testing and analys

Long term market success of food products and food industry brands depends on food quality and food safety, due to the compliance requirement with legal provisions and authorities on one hand, and because consumers are extremely sensitive to product quality on the other.

Microbiological analysis of food items

A key condition precedent for the marketability of food products is that they must be safe from the microbiological point of view. Our microbiological laboratory, equipped with a MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer is able to species level identification within 24 hours.

Analysis of residues of plant protection

Extremely high laboratory standards are required if you are to detect residues and contaminating substances in food products. Our laboratory undertakes to test for nearly 600 pesticides (plant protection products) on a short notice by screening.

Molecular biological tests

In order to provide the most exact results to our Clients within the shortest period of time possible, we use modern protein and nucleic acid analytical methods such as PCR, DNA sequencing and immuno-enzyme assays (ELISA).

Testing for non-desirable substances

Extremely high laboratory standards are required if you are to detect sensitive residues and contaminating substances in food products. We provide a comprehensive service from the commencement of the sampling procedure up to the competent evaluation of the test results.
