Eurofins becomes unified in its food safety business

Positive changes are expected in Eurofins' food safety testing areas from the first of January 2024, as the group's two laboratories with a long history will change their names and continue to operate with a unified force under joint business management, offering an even wider range of services to their partners.

The Food Testing Laboratory, headquartered in Budapest and formerly part of Eurofins Analytical Services Hungary (EFASH), is separated from EFASH and continues its activities under the name Eurofins Food and Feed Testing Budapest. The laboratory of the company group in Gyula, Eurofins Food Analytica Kft. will also change its name, next year it will be located under the name Eurofins Food and Feed Testing Gyula.

Eurofins Food and Feed Testing Budapest and Eurofins Food and Feed Testing Gyula form a joint business unit and accordingly perform their activities and serve the domestic market under joint management, albeit as two separate legal entities. The head of Eurofins' new Food Safety Business Unit will be Dr. Csaba Ábrahám.

In the case of both changes, there is legal continuity, the separation and name changes do not affect accreditations, the usual smooth business or cooperation with our clients.

So many changes are expected that thanks to the joint business management, we will be able to serve our esteemed partners in the usual quality, but with even more services and even greater capacity.

The changes will soon be visible on our website, where the service portfolios of the two companies can also be found in one menu item. In the meantime, we will, of course, provide full information on any changes to official data that affect our partners in due course.
