During its history in Hungary, Eurofins received the Superbrands Business Award for the first time, well-deserved by Eurofins Analytical Services Hungary Kft., showing at the same time the strength of the brand represented by the domestic group of companies as a whole: less than 5 per cent of all businesses assessed met the strict financial and marketing-communication criteria set up by the independent professional panel.

Eurofins was awarded the Superbrands Business Award for the first time in Hungary in this year: after the past years, Eurofins Analytical Services Hungary Kft. (legal successor of Wessling Hungary Kft.), a company providing environmental, food safety and pharmaceutical tests and assessments as well as professional consultant services, received the diploma of honour again.

In the course of the Business Superbrands program a 20 member panel consisting of independent experts highlights the best brands of the business to business sector (B2B), that is Hungarian companies and brands which have mainly a clientele consisting of not primarily consumers, but other businesses and organisations.

The list containing some 400 brands set up based on the database of Bisnode, and taking into account the recommendations of significant domestic professional organisations and alliances will be presented to the committee after careful financial and professional screening. This list includes companies with higher profits just as well as some lesser undertakings recommended by the industrial chambers, associations, professional bodies of the different sectors, which are seen as entities of excellence in the business life, and have a high standard of domestic communication and branding strategies.

Beside an outstanding professional and very stable financial performance, Eurofins Analytical Services Hungary Kft. made also a lot of efforts by its marketing-communication results to get included in the company of the strongest brands in this country. Communication and CSR programmes include the operation of a webpage built on disseminating scientific information (Laboratorium.hu), national conferences are organised (Hungalimentaria), and more than 2000 articles have been published by us in the past ten years in the mainstream and professional media. Within the framework of the creative corporate social responsibility efforts, experts in our campaigns examined the micro-plastic level of the river Danube and its tributaries (Parányi Plasztiktalány), chemistry was promoted by online quiz programmes, experiments and the tools of modern education skills (laboratory adventure chemistry contest), and mediation was made in the field of food safety (Think when you buy campaign).

From this point on, as a member of the world’s largest network of laboratories, even more possibilities will open for continuous innovation, methodological development, research and activities within the context of corporate social responsibility.

About the Superbrands Hungary Program

The Superbrands Award assists in raising awareness of the brand value: its communication draws the attention of consumers and business partners to positive values such as the financial stability, national recognition and popularity, outstanding branding practices of the company behind the brand. The aim of the Superbrands Program, now in operation in more than 90 countries worldwide, is to put prominent brands into the spotlight and to show up role models to follow. The Superbrands Award in Hungary represents the essence of all positive implications associated with the brands since 2004: it marks their wide popularity and recognition on the market and their financial stability just as well. The Business Superbrands award indicates the most successful of the brands in the business to business sector (B2B), yet it is also a trade mark symbolising the high standard and well known for the wider population as well, the awarding of which is decided upon each year by a committee consisting of more than 40 independent marketing and executive experts following the multiple step pre-screening process.
